MURG MUSALLAM


MURG MUSALLAM RECIPE

Ingredients:

  • 500 gms chicken
  • 1 tbsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tbsp garam masala powder
  • 1 tbsp red chilly powder
  • 1/2 tbsp turmeric powder
  • 2 large onions made into paste
  • 1/2 cup tomato puree
  • 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • Salt to taste

Procedure:

Marinate the chicken with half the ginger garlic paste, red chilly powder, turmeric powder and yogurt. Keep aside for an hour. Then take a kadai and heat ghee in it. pour the marinated chicken and fry on low heat for around 10 mins. Keep aside the fried chicken pieces.
Now heat oil in the same kadai if you want. and cumin seed to if followed by the onion paste. Fry till the color change to a light golden brown hue. then add the remaining ginger garlic paste stir a little and add the tomato pureed. Let it cook for a while.
After the contents have thicken a little add the fried chicken pieces to it and add little bit of red chilly powder if you want. Add salt according to your taste.
Cook for around 10 mins then add the lemon juice to bring in some acidity flavor to the dish..
Simmer until the chicken is soft and tender.
Your MURG MUSALLAM is ready to eat. garnish as you may like..
